What do you do with a 4-door Minor with a terminally rusty floor? Cut the roof off, of course!

The back doors have been welded shut and some more strengthening has been welded into the floor before the roof was unceremoniously removed. A Purple and Yellow paint job followed, then alloy wheels and the obligatory rubber-chicken-jammed-in-the-boot-lid-for-a-mascot.

Since this pic was taken, the car has been lowered 2 inches all 'round, Mazda 626 front seats have been fitted and telescopic shocks fitted all 'round. New NZ Wheels Trendsetter mags have also been fitted and interior door panels have been re-covered.

The standard 1098cc engine and box was due to be replaced with a worked Datsun 1200 engine (1340cc) and the brakes uprated to discs and boosted. - this never happened because we went overseas and it got parked up in the garage. Six years later we sold it and it was repowered with a V8 and painted green.
