In this modern age of lowering cars til they scrape the ground, and getting over speed bumps is sometimes impossible, Nick Harvey has taken a distinctly different approach.
What started out as a '54 split-screen, Nick soon had the old 803cc engine out an replaced with a 1 litre Suzuki motor and a 5 sped gearbox behind. But when that gave way (probably from trying to get up that shingle pile at ever increasing speeds!) Nick took the opportunity and replaced it with a 4.3l T.B.I. computer controlled Chevy V6 with a 200R4 overdrive automatic.
The original Minor body is mounted on a lenghthened Suzuki Samurai 4x4 frame. The 4WD was working fine with the Suzuki motor, but when it blew and he put in the V6 Nick found that there was no room left for the trans-case. He hopes to get the 4WD working over the winter.
It has 235R15 tires at the moment and there's room for 33's but that won't happen for a while.
The body is stock with the exception of 39 Ford tail lights and custom bumpers.
Inside Nick used all the Suzuki guages, steering column and brake assembly.
