It's a woodie. He's a professional woodsman. And it goes like hell when the dragstrip christmas tree turns green.
Pro Tree. Geddit?
This car recently appeared in the November '03 issue of the American magazine 'Street Rodder'. Fellow Minor Maniac Steve Webber kindly posted a copy to me here in New Zealand. The following pictures and article have all been lifted directly from the magazine - with any luck the copyright police will leave me alone. Have mercy! I'm just an enthusiast you know!
Anyway, on with the car ...
Steve Becker found the car at a flea market in New Jersey. The Street Rodder article says its a '48 but given that all the body panels are 'Thou'-shaped I think it's more likely a '56-'62, but hey, what do I know?
Street Rodder have already written up all the info on this car so I'll leave you to read the article yourself. Just click on the bigger versions of the article pages and you'll get an even bigger version that you can read.
I hope they have an internet connection in copyright prison ...
