This was the first Minor I had seen or heard of that had been fitted with one of the new 1600cc Twin-Cam Toyota engines. As I've mentioned elsewhere, the Toyota 4A-GE is fast becoming the preferred engine of choice for Kiwi Minor Modders.

LadyBird is powered by a Toyota 4A-GE complete with electronic fuel injection, driving a 5-speed Celica 'box, through to a Vauxhall Viva Magnum 4.11:1 differential. The engine uses Mazda 323 gearbox mounts as engine mounts. The whole car was stripped to a bare shell, rust-proofed and primed before the final Ferrari Red 'Rosso Chiara' paint was applied.
