early model colours
« on: 28-Aug-2010 20:28:28 »

Hey Minor gurus. What would my low light interior colours have been originally? That is to say the majority of it is body colour (roman green) and I think the glove box lid and speedo surround were gold? What colour should the center part of dash (with starter, choke etc) be, and the screw on window surrounds (they look to be a dark brown)? Thanks.

It is probably specified in the "Original Morris Minor' book. I'm away from my library for another couple of weeks, but someone else may have one.

I looked at a couple of pics on google, and it seems like the plate behind the key etc is chrome or ally.

For the window surrounds, which bits to you mean exactly - windscreen trim?

Thanks. The link you gave has enough info for me to be close enough. I wont be winning any awards for best original minor but still want to try and get some of the little details right. The window surrounds I was talking about screw around front and rear screens and seem to have been a dark brown. Cheers
