Hi people, I’m new to the forum so just a quick message to say hello an introduce myself. I’m 28 an from Stafford in the Midlands an im running a pretty stock 1967 Saloon, it’s got a 1098 Sprite twin carb under the bonnet but apart from that its ‘as was’. I’m looking at playing with it... alot lol. I love tinkering but am by no means a mechanic so expect lots of questions! I do have a couple of initial questions though. First off, does anyone know if there’s anyone that still makes the Willies style front end, ive seen a few in pictures an they look fantastic, id love to get my hands on one. Second, I obviously want to put a nice big Yankee V under the bonnet but need to strengthen up the old girl first, is there anyway of ‘building’ a chassis to support the car? Ive never liked the idea of not having chassis rails... We’ll, that’s me, look forward to hearing from everyone on the forum and will post again soon. Dave

Hi and welcome to the forum. There are quite a few threads here on fitting V8's etc, but it's a big job - and costly if you get someone else to do it. Best idea is to buy one already done. Check out this site too for further inspiration: http://morrisminorowners.co.uk/index.phpPete

Hi Dave
Welcome along. There are a few of us who pop in to the forum from time to time.
For serious power increases like a V8 you really need to go for a full chassis and different front suspension I think. As PO says, there are quite a few examples on this website and forum to crib off.
