My Morris will sit lower than a  stock  Morrie.  The engine I have for it is  a 388 cid small chevy.  AFR aluminum   heads, etc , etc.

The gasser cars are something different, I have not seen them in person.

I learned last night the under construction  gasser Morris on the left is now in Wisconsin USA....  the fellow just moved back east from Aridzona and he took the car with him.

You're quite lucky with all the 'cheap parts' out there compared to us here. I bought a carb for my 351 when on holiday in Florida - £270 here, $234 there. I still think that I should perhaps have used a chevy - parts are so cheap for them. I will however continue with the Ford, and may come across to the US to pick up a pair of alloy heads for half price (pays for the flights).

Post some pics of your project.

What would it be like driving one of those gassers at speed around a sharp corner? Shocked  huh

I would guess that depends on which end of the car is entering the corner first

 grin

A photo update on my Morrie project.  Cut the front suspension metal & floor out of the car.
Plasma cutter is a great tool !  That rusty rectangle tube is the frame fixture the Morrie body is welded to.

I have a narrowed Ford Mustang II cross member and suspension under the car for test fitment.  I like the ride height & the look of the car in this photo.  The body is welded to the frame fixture at the ride height I want.

Hi Tony,

nice clean cutting there, just remember that you need to steer the front wheels!( ride hieght is cool otherwise!)
What would it be like driving one of those gassers at speed around a sharp corner? Shocked  huh

I had a gasser style minor with a V8(really badly built!) when driving at speed it would bounce low rider style when ever a bump was hit! corners were fine, although I didn't push it!

I raised the body up 1.5 inches in the front.  Raised the back end 1.75 inches.

I narrowed the cross member an additional 3+ inches.  I also cut out more metal on the inner wheel well area.

Plenty of room for the tyres to turn left or right..... grin

Looking good Tony.
I'm still waiting to get my shell back from the media blasters to get things mocked up properly.

Hey those are my cars! LOL... My first post here. It was actually 12.30 quarter mile with mildly modified 350 motor. But it has a 671 blown ZZ4 motor now grin

I will gladly post up some action shots when I get it finished. But its not quite done yet. It has been apart for about 4 years to get paint and many other mods.
