Darryl Emmerson has gone and bastardised one of the earliest Minors around - a 1949 Lowlite.
After cutting 7 1/2" out of the roof height and moving the rear window forward about 6" Darryl also fitted a Carson top (a solid roof that is upholstered and padded to make it look like a convertible).
It's left hand drive and is powered by a 3.5l Rover V8 from a Rover P6. Rear wheels are Auto Zodiac Centerlines.
Darryl's first outing was to the UK Street Rod Nationals where I spied it in the campground.
